What Joey does with your data.

Joey is an invite-only résumé product. Questions go to support@growwithjoey.com. The site is growwithjoey.com. This page does not list a company registration or a personal operator name.

Joey keeps what it needs to run your account and write drafts: your email and sign-in, the résumé you upload, the work history it learns from that file, the jobs you tailor against, the drafts and edits, answers to Joey's questions, invite requests, and support mail you send. Signup does not ask for a phone or home address. If a name, email, phone, or street address appears on an uploaded résumé, Joey strips those before any writing model or software partner sees the text, and puts them back only when you export. City and country on a résumé stay, because they help match a role. Hosts: sign-in and structured history in Supabase; résumé files in Cloudflare R2.

Writing a draft means sending the relevant slice of your work history (not your name, email, phone, or street address) to outside writing models. Joey chose those models after testing across labs, and they can change. Today that includes Google Gemini, DeepSeek, and OpenAI.

Joey does not train its own models. OpenAI's API and paid Gemini are set up so prompts are not used to train or improve those products unless an organisation opts in. DeepSeek's API does not document a no-training default, so we do not claim that. Contact details are stripped first. Work history still goes to the writer.

Joey uses your data to run your account, write and check drafts, send invite and sign-in email, answer support, and keep the product reliable (security and quality traces).

Joey does not sell your data for advertising. There is no marketing pixel in the app today.

Companies that host Joey and run the writing models see what they need to do that job. Joey does not sell your data for ads. Those companies, in plain names: Vercel (the website), Render (the drafting API), Supabase (sign-in and database), Cloudflare (files and inbound support mail), Inngest (the job queue; events carry ids, not the résumé body), Firecrawl (job-posting URLs you submit), Resend (invite email), Google / DeepSeek / OpenAI (writing models), LangSmith (masked quality traces when tracing is on), Axiom (operations logs; the website logger drops error text because it can be résumé prose).

Joey keeps your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, Joey deletes what it holds then. If you remove a piece of experience without deleting the account, that piece is scrubbed after 30 days. Outside companies may keep their own safety logs for a limited time; deleting your Joey account does not wipe those.

You can delete your account from Settings. Confirm it is you (password or emailed code) and type your email. Joey then removes your sign-in, stored experience, uploads, drafts, and related files. That cannot be undone. Safety logs at outside companies are not the same button.

Cookies here are for staying logged in, not for ads. The signed-in app uses Supabase session cookies. Invite signup may set joey_invite_token. No third-party advertising cookies found in the app.

Invite and sign-in mail are transactional (needed to use Joey). Joey does not run a marketing newsletter today. Resend sends invites; Supabase sends auth mail.

Joey is for adults looking for work. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Signup does not ask your age.

Email support@growwithjoey.com with the subject Privacy Request. We will look up what Joey holds and handle deletion through Settings or support. This page does not promise a legal deadline.

Joey protects deletion with a fresh password or emailed code, not just a stolen login cookie. User data in the database is limited by row-level security. The site is served over HTTPS. This page does not claim AES-256, admin MFA everywhere, or a 72-hour regulator notice.

Some companies Joey uses are in the United States. DeepSeek states that it stores personal data in China. Joey does not have a signed SCC pack in this wiki. A lawyer should review transfers before this ships as a policy.

If this page changes, we will update the date at the top. For a material change we will email active users when that channel is live.
